The Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology went to Jiangsu Communications Administration to carry out work investigation.

On December 15th, Xie Cun, Director of Information and Communication Development Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, went to Jiangsu Communications Administration to investigate information and communication development, accompanied by Xu Jijin, Party Secretary and Director of the Bureau, Zhang Ruiying, member and deputy director of the Bureau, and heads of relevant departments of the Bureau.

Xie Cun and his party watched the demonstration of the communication big data platform of Jiangsu Communication Administration Bureau and the application system of industrial Internet, Internet of Things and telecommunications infrastructure, and learned more about the system construction ideas and its role. Jiangsu Provincial Communications Administration reported on the work in the formulation of construction standards, co-construction and sharing, 5G network coverage in key places and practical projects for people’s livelihood in recent years and the next work plan, and conducted in-depth exchanges on promoting the construction and application of information infrastructure.

Xie Cun fully affirmed the achievements made by Jiangsu Communications Administration in the construction of information means and the promotion of high-quality development of the industry, and introduced the key work plan of the Information and Communication Development Department in 2024. He pointed out that Jiangsu Provincial Communications Administration has strengthened the 5G network coverage of sea areas, old residential areas and other scenes, promoted the innovative development of industrial Internet and 5G applications, and achieved "5G in every village". The application of communication big data platforms and other systems has provided strong support for the modernization of industry supervision capabilities and the promotion of high-quality development of the industry. The next step is to continue to give full play to the advantages of regulatory means, promote the development of 5G technology and industrial applications, upgrade the capacity of computing networks, continuously improve the coverage level of 5G networks in key places, and implement the work of safe production in the construction field in detail to promote the development of Jiangsu’s information and communication industry to a higher level.

Xu Jijin thanked the Information and Communication Development Department for its support and assistance to the work of Jiangsu Communications Administration, and said that he would thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the National Communications Administration Directors’ Symposium and the Information and Communication Supervision Symposium, implement the key work requirements of the Information and Communication Development Department in 2024, consolidate and enhance the development advantages of the industry, further accelerate the promotion of the "Four Jiangsu" special action, continuously deepen the coverage of 5G networks, upgrade the computing infrastructure system, promote the integration of digital and real development, and give better play to the supporting role of information and communication technologies and networks in the process of promoting new industrialization.
