The name [car home] Xingjiyuan will certainly sound a little strange to everyone. No wonder, this is another branch of Chery’s Xingtu brand, which belongs to the high-end role in the family. The brand officially disclosed its information in April this year. At the Shanghai Auto Show, we photographed its first new car, which is today’s protagonist, Xingyu Era ET. This is a large and medium-sized electric SUV. As a pioneering work that shoulders the attention, Xingjiyuan ET fully revealed the outstanding features of this car during the Chengdu Auto Show.
What is the sense of the future? Almost all the new generation of rims, mainly new energy products, have repeatedly emphasized this point. So how is this new car interpreted? Let’s start with the appearance. Xingjiyuan ET has a design language that is at the forefront of car fashion. The car body has a large profile and looks very simple and stable. The wide-body design can create an "expensive" effect from the perception.
The front part of this new car has rich details, low visual center of gravity, fullness and tension. It adopts the horizontal penetrating daytime lamp that everyone likes very much, and also has the function of "light language" under the headlights on both sides. The disappearing middle net is a typical feature of new energy vehicles, which can also give the front face more room to play. Because simplicity is all the rage now, there is not much decoration at the bumper, and the bright black plaque below can make the front of the car look more stable.
The manufacturer has not released detailed body size data. At present, we only know that the car length of Xingjiyuan ET is more than 5 meters, the width is about 2 meters, and the wheelbase is 3 meters. It is indeed a very large SUV. Combined with the appearance, it is not difficult for us to guess the comfort of the internal seating space, which is also in line with its vehicle positioning. The side is not too square, but uses a younger and even a little sporty shape, which is still very energetic with the big rim.
The new car we photographed on the booth used PremiumContact series tires from continental brand, with the size of 255/50 R20, and the market reference price was about 1500 yuan/piece. The visual effect of this multi-spoke wheel rim can be greatly displayed, and it also matches the car body style.
Needless to say, the through taillight belt is almost available for new energy vehicles. This through-flow taillight contains 262 LED beads, and the lighting effect is relatively exquisite, but the recognition may not be very high when it is far away. The new car uses bright black treatment from the front of the car to the side skirt and then to the rear bumper, so that the body will not be too dull and the overall feeling is good.
This new car release focuses on the appearance of the interior, and we can also see to what extent Chery’s most cutting-edge interior skills have reached. The first feeling brought by the Star Age ET car is the "futuristic feeling". The light-colored style is really warm and simple, but the new car still looks more scientific and technological. A closer look at the interior actually uses a variety of materials, but such as bright metallic color, wood grain and bright black have not robbed the limelight of white materials, so the fusion is quite good.
The style of the steering wheel is rare, a bit like the style used in the concept car. Upper and lower flat bottom, two-spoke shape, the functional areas on both sides are the same as Tesla, and there is only one wheel button on each side. Because the car is not lit, we have not experienced the actual performance of this configuration for the time being, and it still looks very scientific and technological.
The new car adopts double suspended large screens: one is behind the steering wheel, which is mainly used as the driving function of the dashboard, and the other is the traditional central control screen, which is not excessively enlarged in size and does not occupy the limelight of the central control area. Below the central control big screen, there are some TV sets similar to home, with three knobs and buttons. I don’t know how the subsequent use feels.
Among the full future technological elements, the seat provides a good home comfort. The seat style is beautiful and exquisite. The headrest should be equipped with speakers, and the backrest and cushion are decorated with rectangular and wavy three-dimensional patterns to make the car look more classy. Although the detailed configuration of the adjustment function is not announced, it can be seen that both the front and rear seats have electric adjustment, and the electric lumbar support and ventilation functions of the front seats are also available.
There is not much information about the new car. At present, we know that the Star Era STERRA series products will be built based on the E0X global electric platform newly developed by Chery Group. The models have the ability to last more than 700km, supplement 150km in 5 minutes, and consume 12 kWh/100 km. The new car is expected to be launched in the first half of 2024.
